Ashton Vale community working together to preserve our heritage

Please join our campaign to protect Green fields all over South West England which are now under threat.

Welcome to Ashton Vale - This web site is a celebration our unique heritage.

Ashton Vale is a small community on the edge of South Bristol. With beautiful open spaces and land protected by Green Belt Policy we have valued the fields, woods and beautiful Colliters Brook for generations. A walkers, joggers and children's paradise, mostly flat, you can amble along public footpaths, sit by a babbling brook and picnic with friends and families.

A quiet residential area in a unique position, set just minutes from a major city it has managed to maintain a village like atmosphere.  There are many third and fourth generation families living here with uninterrupted views of Ashton Court, Long Ashton and the famous Bristol Suspension bridge.

This area is under serious threat from developers, who have noted its unique qualities and we are now threatened with development on an unprecedented scale.  This small community will be destroyed.

We urge you to join our campaign to help protect Ashton Vale fields for future generations and to join in the campaign to save green fields around all our cities.  Environmentalists, sociologists and scientists all agree that natural green space is a necessity for communities to thrive and survive.

Over the whole of the UK and especially in the South West of England, fields protected by Green Belt Policy since the 1950's has suddenly become the target of the government who are ready to let developers move in and develop houses and shopping centres.  Over 500,000 houses are planned for the South West.

Visit saveourgreenspaces.org to find out whats happening in a field near you.

WE NEED YOUR HELP NOW - PLEASE JOIN OUR CAMPAIGN  any help will be of great value and you will be working with us to protect GREEN SPACE for the future.

We truly value our heritage and want to work together to protect it, us and future generations. We encourage people from all walks of life to contribute and write for the web site.  With your help we hope to record the changes that have made Ashton Vale how it is today and learn more about its future. contact us at mail@ashtonvaleheritage.co.uk or phone us on 07972 558117
